Choosing the Best WordPress Theme for Your Website or Blog

Choosing the best WordPress theme for my website was really simple when I first started internet marketing.  But things have changed over the years.

And, what an amazing world we are living in now.  Did you ever think that your phone would be a facility from which you could operate your business, do your banking, write documents, articles, send emails, and so much more?

It certainly never occurred to me that I would be reading and learning by viewing articles on my phone.  I’m not sure whether this is a good thing, particularly when the time is well past midnight and I’m intrigued with an article that caught my attention a while back when I was about to close off for the night!!  That’s where strong attention to bad habits need apply, but why should I worry about that when I’m up-skilling my knowledge with this small hand-held device!

So those are the times we are living in.  Of course, the younger generation would have no idea of life without a digital ‘encyclopaedia’, ‘games alley’, and ‘social media platform’ for companionship.  Who needs a friend in person, these days?

What does this have to do with my website, you may be asking?

The answer is:  This subject has much to do with your website or blog.

However, this article only applies to those who are new to internet marketing.  Seasoned online marketers will be well aware of the information about:

Choosing the Best WordPress Theme for Your Website or Blog

When choosing a Theme for your WordPress website or blog it is of utmost importance that you choose a Responsive Theme.

The reason why your WordPress website or blog needs to be built on a Responsive Theme is due to the fact that about eighty percent of the population use Smart Phones to access all their online interests, rather than using their laptop or desktop.

Whether it is business or pleasure, the mobile device is used far more than alternative devices.  Just think of the people seen in the streets these days walking along and looking at the screen they are holding in their hand.  Gaining knowledge from that screen seems to be more important to them than the fact that they could easily walk into danger, but that is beside the point.  We are talking here about choosing the best theme for your website or blog, and nothing else matters at this particular moment.

So, moving on with how a Responsive WordPress Theme works

A responsive theme adjusts to the size of the screen on the digital device.  For instance, the screen on a tablet is larger than the screen on a phone, but smaller than the screen on a laptop.  A responsive theme will adjust to each of these devices.

When viewing a website on a mobile phone, rather than a website page and the sidebar appearing as they do on a laptop, the responsive theme adjusts the page so that the viewer sees the page, followed by the footer, and then by the sidebar.  This presentation is acceptable, perhaps even better viewing than on a laptop.

Is There A Cost to Having Responsive Theme?

Free WordPress Responsive Themes are available and you should not have any difficulty in choosing one for your website.

WordPress Responsive Themes have been available since 2011, and maybe even before that.  However, the intent of this article is to raise awareness so that when someone new to internet marketing is starting their first website, they are armed with the knowledge that a Responsive WordPress theme is available and should be chosen, rather than a non-responsive theme.

If you already have a website, you can check whether it is responsive by entering Mobile-Friendly Test Google into your browser.

If the result of checking your theme shows that it is not responsive, you can easily find a Responsive theme by doing a Google search such as where can I find a responsive wordpress theme.  This search will give you all the information you need for finding a suitable responsive theme for your WordPress site.

If you have any questions about your theme, please leave a message and I will respond to you within 24 hours.

I welcome your questions and comments.  Please leave them in the space provided below.
