Affiliate Marketing is a method of earning income which has become extremely popular in recent times. It is also a great way to work from home, either part-time or full-time. In fact the number of hours working on affiliate marketing are your choice, not the choice of anyone else.
From experience, I can assure you there is money to be made in Affiliate Marketing. The number of hours worked are not the main factor to success. It is the desire to achieve, together with dedication, that makes for success with affiliate marketing.
Early Years of the Internet in Relation to Affiliate Marketing
It was during the 1990s the internet became available to the public. There is much history online about the beginning of the internet. However, that is not what this post is about. Therefore, I’m comfortable with mid-1990s being the early days of amazing advancement in technology. A technology that provides everyone who has access to a computer with the power to make money online.
Why I mentioned the early years of the internet is because of the tremendous and extremely rapid growth to where we are now, in 2018. For instance, we no longer need to travel miles or kilometers by public or private transport to do our weekly shopping. Nor is there a need to travel when it comes to shopping for events such as birthdays, Christmas or any other celebration. Options are now available. We can choose to purchase from brick and mortar businesses, or we can log on to the Internet, do our shopping and have it delivered to our door.
Maybe you are wondering why I mentioned the foregoing. My reason is, along with online advancement of shopping methods, there have been and still are advancements with how money can be earned working online.
One most prominent ways of earning money online is with Affiliate Marketing.
In past years I’ve read much skepticism about Affiliate Marketing. People have been disbelieving that money can be made by this method. Those who think like that are unaware of the true facts and benefits because of hearsay, or lack of interest to investigate and learn the practice.
Due to the way technology is now moving, many large businesses depend on affiliate marketers to promote their products. It can be seen that this trend continues to grow. In 2017 I was surprised to see large firms advertising for staff to manage the affiliate marketing division of their business. Information such as this can be seen on Google Alerts.
So, How to Be Successful with Affiliate Marketing You May Be Asking
If you are interested in becoming successful with affiliate marketing it is essential you have a true need or desire to increase your earnings. Without a definite need, or wish for increased earnings, success may not come your way.
The truth is that thousands of people are successful in making money online with affiliate marketing. If you have an interest in being another successful affiliate marketer, my advice is to investigate a sound and honest source where you can learn valuable information without it costing you a cent, penny, or whichever your currency.

Kyle walks viewers through the process of how to make money online. He explains step by step, the exact process of how money is made with affiliate marketing. Although this video is 13 minutes in length, I do recommend taking the time to watch and listen to what Kyle teaches. There is very valuable information to be learned in this video.

The Free training program, referred to as Starter program, is offered to those interested in learning more about affiliate marketing. I can, and do, tell my story and experience of being scammed by some affiliate programs. However, I don’t put strong emphasis on unpleasant experiences.
I prefer to emphasize the opportunity everyone has to experience the entire Wealthy Affiliate program for 7 days FREE of charge. And, clearly advise that after 7 days, access to a limited program remains. The limited program which is the Starter membership, is available for life along with the 2 Free websites and Free web hosting.

I’m pleased you watched Kyle’s video to see the process of making money online. To answer your question, making money with affiliate marketing can be simple if you make it that way. By saying that, if you choose a niche you are passionate about, or at least have a strong liking for and are prepared to spend time and effort, the process can be simple.
There are people who make everything complicated. You’ve no doubt heard of the KISS analogy meaning ‘keep it simple and straight forward’. Well, add a strong mindset and dedication and you have the foundation of a successful affiliate marketing business.

I am most definitely inspired by this post, and because of that felt that I should leave you a comment in regards to your post.
It’s so interesting to think that even though the Internet only became available in the 1990s that we’ve advanced so far in only 30 years. Imagine another 10 or even 20 years how much further along will be in regards to the internet. There’s literally nothing you cannot do on the internet, and as you mentioned above one of those being making steady profitable income.
Wealthy affiliate it is by far one of the best ways to learn how to make money online. If you have a passion, and are willing to put the time and effort in to learn how to build a business around that passion, you’re well on your way to becoming successful.

Speaking of advancement in technology, I just can’t imagine how far things will go and how much the world will change in future decades. Who would have thought 10 years ago that drones would exist. Maybe those deeply into technology knew about them, but the average person would have had no idea.

This was a really clear description of what affiliate marketing is and how best to do well with it. It is as you say Valerie, having the right mind set ” If you believe it you can achieve it”
You know one of the things that surprise me is why people continue to live in overcrowded noisy cities when now as you have pointed out they can work from anywhere in the world, any where this is internet access. The internet has certainly revolutionized the way we think and live. You like me would surely remember the days of just the dial up telephone and urgent messages were sent via telegram. We live in an amazing time in history with so many more opportunities available to us.
You have directed us to engage with Wealthy Affiliate to build our business and I can only agree with you on that. I joined up with WA a little over 6 months ago and the teaching is so valuable as is the community. After reading your post I thought I should go back over the starter training to reinforce that early learning.

Thank you for leaving your comment. It is so true that if we believe in something we can achieve it. I think the most important belief is believing in ourselves, more than the item, whatever it is. There are many people who have great mindsets and do not allow anything to get their way. Once they decide to do, or to learn something they go for it.
You mention people living in crowded cities and not moving on. I believe that is their mindset. Either they are not aware of the opportunities available to them, or they just don’t have the courage to move on.
I certainly do remember the days of the telegram! It is truly amazing how far and how fast technology has moved! I also remember in the early days of the internet having to use dial-up through the phone. This could cause much annoyance between those wanting to make phone calls as opposed to those stubbornly taking time on the internet. I say ‘stubbornly’ but being on the internet was so amazing. How wonderful it was when ‘wireless’ became available.

I just finished reading through your article on becoming a successful affiliate marketer and thought I would just drop you a quick comment to offer my thoughts.
I have been into affiliate marketing for quite a few years now and what you say in this post in very true. If you want to be a successful internet marketer then you need to have a real passion for it. You need to really want a change in your life. Because affiliate marketing is very time consuming and it doesn’t always go the way you want it to.
The great thing about affiliate marketing in my opinion is the fact that you can work from anywhere in the world and at your own pace. You don’t have to answer to anyone and you can base your online business on anything you like. In my opinion its just perfect. So long as you have the ability to work on your own and be disciplined enough to put the effort in. But then, the Wealthy Affiliate membership helps a lot with that.

It is true that the creation of internet has created a lot of opportunities for a lot of people.
The opportunities to make money are in effect growing all the time. Just about every company is out on the web now and more are being created all the time. The difference today compared to the mid nineties is that consumers have become much better informed. This means that we marketers need to make a much better job in explaining how the products we promote can help a client with a problem.
All in all it is a win-win situation as both marketers and clients get what they want.

This has put strong emphasis on the need for online marketers to be well informed on the products they promote. It has also placed the business of Affiliate Marketing in the real world where it is now recognized as a genuine business that assists with the supply and demand of products and services.
